April 5, Saturday: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, annual fundraising lu'au on the ERAU
Campus. Tickets can be purchased by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org . Doors open at 5:00 p.m., local
Hawaiian food dinner at 6:00 p.m., and show at 7:00 p.m. We will be dancing on stage with the ERAU
Hawaiian Club students for the show.
March 29: our 2nd AdoptaHighway trash pickup of the year. Note time change: 10 a.m. Cultural Talk by
Ka'imiloa, too, at Holly's house!

Polynesia" Celebration, all weekend. Our Halau will be one of those performing both Saturday and Sunday at
11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. More information at www.mim.org. It's a great museum to visit!

did. Kumu's dream is to

where we can have
classes and rehearsals any
time we like.
June 28, Saturday: Movies on the Square, Heritage Square, Flagstaff. Every year we pick a Saturday to do a
hula performance prior to the showing of the movies right there in the Square. Come join us early, and visit
our Halau table, and see our performance at 6:00 p.m.
March 8-9: 20th annual Arizona Aloha Festival, Tempe Beach Park, Phoenix.
August 16, Saturday: Our Halau is hosting the Lau Kanaka No Hawai'i Hawaiian Civic
Club meeting, Cottonwood Civic Center, time TBA but I think it's 10 a.m. Potluck lunch
and (random) hula afterwards! We call it "kamikaze hula"!
April 10 Thursday (Sedona Harkins) and April 24 Thursday (Prescott Valley): we are working hard to
get enough people to "buy" tickets to the showing of "The Haumana", and award-winning film. Go to
https://gathr.us/screening/7177 for Sedona film showing, and https://gathr.us/screening/7178 for Prescott
Valley showing. (I can't enter link because of the httpS.) Both will show at a Harkins Theater. You will have to
purchase tickets with your credit card, but if we don't get 100 tickets sold for each showing, there will be no
film, and your purchase is cancelled. Trying to get 100 for each! Please help! Would LOVE to see this film!
June 30 to July 24: no hula classes.
November 1: Tentative date for our annual Hula Ho'ike. Location to be announced.
April 19, Saturday: Lau Kanaka no Hawai'i Hawaiian Civic Club, annual Holoku Ball, at the Wild Horse Pass
Casino in Chandler. Tickets are $50, for all the regal-ness, entertainment and dancing to DJ. Ka'imiloa and
Kumu will proudly represent the royal couple at this event!
March 3-4-5: no hula classes
August 23: Annual Hula Diva Dinner in Prescott. Black Tie affair with lots of bling! Location to be
October 18: Tentative date for our 3rd AdoptaHighway trash pickup. 11 a.m.
May 5: start of New For Beginners Hula Class in Cottonwood at the Civic Center in Old Town, 7:00 p.m.
May 7: start of new Hawaiian Language Class in Cottonwood at the Civic Center in Old Town, 4:00 p.m.
March 27, Thursday: HAPA in Concert at the Coconino Center for the Arts, a Greenhouse Production
(Flagstaff). Tickets are $25, $30, and $40 and can be purchased on the Greenhouse website. Our Halau will
be doing a pre-show hula performance, and will be dancing on stage with HAPA in the show! Doors open at
6:30 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m.
March 19: 'Ukulele classes start at Cottonwood Civic Center, 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., until April 23.
June 28: Beginners Hula Class starts in Flagstaff. Flagstaff Recreation Center, 10 am to 12 noon. $30 per
session. Three sessions: June 28, August 30, September 27.
